A few things to mention this month:

G&S Marathon

Yes, thats right. We are planning to host a G&S marathon around this time next year!! Next YEAR you say?! Well, it does take a long time to organise such a large event and we want as many of you as possible to be available so we wanted to get the word out now!!

For those of you who are unfamiliar with a G&S marathon, it is a whole weekend dedicated to the works of writers Gilbert & Sullivan. We aim to perform all 13 operettas by Gilbert & Sullivan (not including Thespis) in one weekend back to back. We start early on Saturday morning and go THROUGH the night singing and acting our way through the shows ending on Sunday afternoon.

It's all very informal so no costumes or set or choreography needed but don't let that stop you from dressing up or dancing away! There are plenty of opportunities for everyone to get involved with playing in the orchestra, singing solo in principal roles or as part of the chorus or even just to come and watch. You can come and be a part of a few of the shows or be hardcore and stay for ALL 13!

As well as having a LOT of fun, the event will be raising money for charity.

So, there is just a bit of information for you to wet your appetite, but do keep checking newsletters and the Imperial Productions facebook group to get more details as the year goes on. This event is not just for current and previous Imperial productions members but for anyone who enjoys performing or watching G&S, so please let anyone you think may be interested know.
